CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS OF THE
2011VAB COMMERCIAL OF THE YEAR AWARDS!


Mt. Mansfield Media of Colchester and Shadow Productions of Burlington were the winners of the Best in Show awards from the Vermont Association of Broadcasters in the 2011 Commercial of the Year Awards.

Mt. Mansfield Media won the Best in Show award for TV for “Rusty Wedding :60,” a commercial for Heritage Automotive Group. In the commercial, mechanic Rusty DeWees dreams he's running late for his wedding and rushes to the church only to find his bride-to-be is fellow mechanic Charlie Hagar.

Shadow Productions won the Best in Show award for radio for a holiday commercial for Magic Hat Brewing Company of South Burlington. The commercial, “Holiday 2010 Artifactory General,” was written by Matt Dugan and produced by Rob Ostrander.

Two dozen awards for radio and TV commercials, promotional spots and public service announcements were handed out May 19 during the VAB's 56th Annual Convention at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. More than 200 entries were received from advertising agencies, TV stations and radio stations. The entries were judged by the VAB and a special panel organized by Champlain College's Division of Communication and Creative Media.
